Central Coast Decorative Artists
At the last meeting, members touched on
some techniques for image transfer to use in the mixed media that some have been
experimenting with lately. Their next meeting on Saturday 4th September, will
have a guest from the Sydney Folk and Decorative Artists Association who will be
conducting a mini workshop. On 16th October, members will be attending the
Matisse Open Day where they will be demonstrating their skills. For further

Hospital Art
The new venue for this community group is 109 Birdwood
Avenue, Umina. (not the address given last month) Pat de Carle is always
after volunteers to help prepare boards and paintings for residents of nursing
homes and hospitals to paint for decorating the walls of places that need
brightening up. The group meet every Friday from 9am to 2pm with residents of
the Peninsula Village being able to participate, encouraging them to feel part

The Entrance Camera Club
Meetings held at the CWA Hall, 1 Pacific Street
Long Jetty from 7.30pm for 8pm, February to November. Each month competitions
are judged in four sections: small prints, large colour prints, large monochrome
prints and projected digital images.
On the 4th Friday each month, April to
November, the club holds workshops for members and visitors on various topics of
photography and image processing. Visitors are welcome. A light supper is served
at the conclusion of judging. Entry by gold coin.

Central Coast Watercolour Society
Members are preparing for the Gala
Dinner to celebrate their 25th Anniversary, at the Caroline Bay Brasserie on
Friday 10th September. Bookings closed 23rd August.
The Annual General Meeting will be held Wednesday 8th
September, at The Entrance Community Centre Art Space, cnr Oakland and
Battley Avenues and Norberta Street The Entrance.
The Basics of Painting
in Watercolour Series 2, will be on Saturday mornings from 9.30am-12 noon on

work at the Central Coast Combined Art Societies Anniversary of the Gallery

Social meetings held 4th Wednesday each month
at 1.30pm in Studio 2, Gosford Art Centre. Guest artist on September 22 will be enamel artist Ann Thomson, from CC
Lapidary Club, who makes her own colourful beads. Entry $2 includes afternoon
tea.

Toukley & District Art Society
The Wallarah Point Art &
Information Centre is run by this group of dedicated artists. Workshops,
meetings and exhibitions are held on site in the Federation Gallery, with
members manning the Tourism desk.
The Centre is open Tuesday to Friday 10am
to 4pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 1pm. As well as paintings the Porcelain
Artists display their work as do silk painters and card makers.
There will
be a Garage Sale
and Devonshire Teas plus sausage sizzle on Saturday

Term 3 is currently taking place

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
This exhibition celebrates the
10th Anniversary of Gosford Regional Gallery.
Entries from members of Art
Societies on the Central Coast, including MAC, Central Coast Art Society,
Tuggerah Lakes Art Society, Ettalong Beach Arts Centre, CC Watercolour Society,
CC Potters' Society, CC Handweavers/Spinners & Textile Guild, CC Lapidary
Club, CC Decorative Artists Ass.
All paintings, sculpture, ceramics,
textile art, may be for sale from which 20% commission will be retained for
administration costs. FREE ENTRY Size Limit NOT TOO LARGE that they cannot be
hung. Approximate sizes... Size Limit 24x 20:(60cm x 38cm) framed. Or standard
watercolour half-sheet framed 100 x 60 cm Limit of 2 per person. If too many
entries only one will be hung at discretion of hangers.
Sculptures and
ceramics Limit 2 per person.
Textiles may be other than wall hangings.
Approx size 60cm x 100cm.
Exhibits must have name of artist, address, phone
number, art society name, title of work, price on back of work.
All work to
be hung must have strong cord with flush attachments or suitable hanging
equipment. NO screw eyes. NO WET PAINTINGS.
Works will be displayed at the
discretion of the hanging committee. No late entries. All care taken but no
responsibility accepted for breakages or loss.
