Members of the CCAS would like to warmly congratulate Margaret Hardy on being awarded the 2011 NSW Senior Volunteer of the Year, in recognition of the many, many ways in which Margaret serves the community. The Award was presented to Margaret by Victor Dominello MP, (Minister for Citizenship and Communities and Minister for Aboriginal Affairs,) at NSW Parliament House on 5th December 2011. (Margaret would like to thank the Centre for Volunteering New South Wales for this award. Margaret was also recipient of the Central Coast Senior Volunteer Award and thanks Margaret Reid of Friends of the Gosford Regional Gallery and Fran Melrose of Central Coast Art Society for nominating her for the awards. Margaret also thanks the many people who have helped her over the past years to improve knowledge about the arts on the Coast, as without their support she would not have received these awards, and we would not now be enjoying the wonderful Arts Centre, Regional Gallery and Japanese Garden and MAC News.. Thank you also to the many groups and people who sent congratulations. Thank you to Councillor Vicki Scott and Gosford City Council for acknowledging the awards at Council meetings in December.)
