The Junior Group of Uniting Productions (Juppies) begins on February 4, in the Uniting Church Hall, 3 to 4.30pm Cost is $2 per child per week and classes will be held every week in school term, Age group Infants and Primary. Bec Gracia will be assisting Margaret McGowan to run the group and aim will be to have lots of fun with warmups, improvisations and group work. They both see drama as a wonderful way to build teamwork and improve confidence and will probably work towards a small performance for friends and relatives ta the end of term, They aim to work towards a small performance at end of term for family and friends. It then becomes clear that Walter's wife Celia is the client..or is she? Cast includes Terry Lay as Vincent; Christine Vale as Celia, Jillian Logan as Withers, Marc Caldwell as Walter and Caitlin Shaw as Angie.

Wyong Drama Group

This group celebrates 60 years in 2012. They have been performing in the Wyong Memorial Hall since 1965 and are assisting Wyong Shire Council in planning for a new theatre on the hall site. Performances held at the Wyong Memorial Hall. 'Fawlty Towers' is their next production, April 12-21. Three episodes include 'Basil the Rat', 'The Kipper and the Corpse' and 'The Builders'. Mad Cow Theatre

Iain McGuire set up Mad Cow Theatre 14 years ago to give young people the opportunity to take part in drama to gain creativity and discipline to help them cope with life skills. Classes for students five to eighteen years in a variety of peer-aged classes are available at Mad Cow. There are four venues - Erina Fair; Kincumber Primary School, 'Circle of Life' at East Gosford (next to the hall) and 'Rock God Music School' at Wyoming. Phone 4328 4432 for further details.

May 17 @ 8pm 'Let the Sunshine' by David Williamson a production of Christine Harris and HIT productions Toby a maker of hard hitting documentaries, flees Sydney in shame when the press finds out he had inadvertently used a bogus witness in his latest film. He travels north to Queensland, fondly remembered from visits in his youth. Problem is it has now moved from a simple fishing village to a chic, upmarket, manicured playground of the wealthy and privileged. Adults $45, Conc. $40

June 27 @ 6pm June 28 @ 10am & 1pm, June 29 10am. 'Me and My Shadow' presented by Patch Theatre Company Shadows are mysterious and magical and can do amazing things. August 16, 17, August 18, 2pm + 8pm 'Diving for Pearls' by Katherine Thomson a production of Christine Harris and HIT productions. Peninsula Theatre The story of a working class couple, Barbara and Den, and their heroic struggle for a meaningful life amidst the turmoils of change. In love and facing the challenges and responsibilities of middle-age, they gamely confront pressing issues in their personal and working lifes as the environment of their small coastal town transforms itself from an old industrial site of factories and warehouses to a brave new world of resorts and plush hotels. August 31 @ 8pm 'The Flood by Jackie Smith' Critical Stages and Finucane and Smith Production. The sheep farm is dilapidated. The farm house, dark and squalid sits by the river, sheltering a mad old lady and her isolated hard-drinking daughter. Memories are seeping through the floorboards. As the sun sets the flood waters rise. The screen door bangs open in the rain and wind, the second daughter, Catherine has returned after 20 years. The past is here. Through the mesmerising friction between estranged sisters, fuelled by alcohol and uncertain memories of a long-dead father, three women are trapped with a past no one wants to remember. Adults $45. 18, 19, 20 September @ 8pm Biddies by Don Reid A CDP Production Move over Codgers, here comes the Biddies! Five ordinarily marvellous women find themselves back in the infants school classroom plying their needles in a good old-fashioned session of 'stitch and bitch'. Their confessions are frank, their rivalries intense and their jokes outrageous. They discover a common frustratioon with the limitations of being female and mature in a world still largely defined by men. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
