Saturday February 11, is the first Sale Day for 2012. It will be held in Studio 1 and 2 at the Gosford Regional Gallery complex, 36 Webb Street East Gosford, 9.30am to 4pm.
The Group extends their very best wishes for 2012 and look forward to seeing you at their Exhibitions and Sale days throughout the year.
This successful group is now in its 32nd year. It originated in June 1980 when three friends advertised in the local newspapers to invite other interested craft people to join together and form a group to promote and sell good quality handmade crafts direct to the public and so the Central Coast Creative Craft Group was formed. Their first Exhibition and Sale Day was held in the Terrigal Scout Hall in September 1980. The Children's Medical Research Institute was named as the charity they would support. Since then the group has proudly donated over $68,000.00 to this charity.
In 1982 the Terrigal venue became too small to accommodate growing membership and the group moved to the heritage listed Kincumber School of Arts Hall until they moved to the newly opened Gosford Regional Gallery Arts Centre and Japanese Garden in 1996.
Along with the Exhibition and Sale Days the group hold on the second Saturday of the month, members showcase their work in two major ten day exhibtions held in June and November.
They have regular demonstrations by invited guests who come and demonstrate their craft to the Public. If you are interested in joining this group or being a Guest for the day to demonstrate your craft to the public, contact President Dickie Ney on 4367 7333.

After many years of setting up and running Hospital Art, Pat DeCarle has stepped down and handed the reins to Sonnie Hopkins. We wish Pat good health and best of luck for the future. The service has grown so much that there are now two venues for preparing the boards by volunteer artists and workers, to be delivered to nursing homes and other care facilities around New South Wales. The first venue is at 109 Birdwood Avenue Umina (open Fridays 9am - 2pm) and behind the Uniting Church at Beckingham Road, Tumbi Umbi , open either Monday or Wednesday, approximately 10am to 2pm. Volunteers are needed. Contact Sonnie on 4324 0023 if you can help.
